                            What are Spiritual Gifts?   I Corinthians 12:1-11  

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

 There are a variety of gifts given and divided severally as he will so the Holy Spirit in his infinite wisdom, knows which gifts to give to each believer.  For Instance I work strongly in the gift of Discerning of Spirits. My strong gifts are Faith, Word of Wisdom, Prophecy & Healing. Now we have the ability to operate in any of the 9 gifts, however, we have strong gifts where God uses us regularly.  It will be the same for you.  There might be one or two gifts that operate through you strongly, but if God has a different need some day and you are a yielded vessel, He can cause any of the 9 gifts to operate through you for His Glory!

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

1. Word of Wisdom - A supernatural solution or answer to a problem or situation

2. Word of Knowledge - The supernatural knowledge of a fact about a person or situation

3. Gift of Faith - A supernatural endowment of faith for a particular problem or situation

4. Gifts of Healing - Supernatural dispersement of instant healing

5.  Working of Miracles - A Supernatural empowerment for an impossible feat

6.  Prophecy - the Holy Spirit speaking through a vessel to edify, exhort, and comfort 

7.  Discerning of Spirits - A supernatural discernment of evil spirits present

8.  Divers kinds of tongues - A message from the Holy Spirit delivered in another tongue

9.  Interpretation of tongues - A supernatural interpretation of the message in tongues

 Purpose of Spiritual Gifts:  I Corinthians 12:7

  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

Spiritual Gifts are definitely for body ministry, they profit (edify and minister to) the body of Christ. 

I Corin 14: 1-6, 12  For the edification of the body, or church.

I Corin 12:31  Covet earnestly the best gifts.

 Spiritual Gifts imparted by Apostles: 

I Cor 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith , so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Romans 1:11 Impartation of spiritual gifts:Apostle Paul For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

I Tim 4:14  Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given by prophecy, with the laying on of hands.

 Warriors of the morning

The Lord is raising up the warriors of the morning, and He is preparing the prophets of His warfare.  These are those who will war in conjuction with God’s angels to pull down the strongholds of the rulers of darkness.

The spirit of Elijah has come, and is resting upon some spiritual fathers (apostles) to train the Elisha’s of this day who will be prophets that are to be commissioned for war against the enemy.  Mal 4:5  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

 12 = divine government, oxen symbolize power.  The government of God will be established as His judgment comes upon the enemy.  Elijah’s mantle represents the authority of the prophetic call and also signifies God’s glory (anointing).  Jesus, a type of Elijah on the Day of Pentecost, gave His mangle…the Holy Spirit.

Elisha served Elijah, followed him and was trained by him.  The places that Elisha followed Elijah to represent the process by which Elisha was prepared as a prophet of war.These prophets (warriors of the morning – Dread Warriors) will break the curses of the enemy against the land (earth).  They will have a double-portion of the spirit of Elijah, who was also a prophet of war (the 400 prophets of Baal).  Before Elijah is taken up, the Lord instructs him to anoint some folks to kill the Lord’s enemies

Elisha’s prophetic call is to destroy the enemy’s ability to take Israel (God’s people) captive.  Elisha – God is Savior; these will represent the Savior.  The name Shaphat means to judge and Abel Meholah means meadow of dancing (dancing upon the works of the enemy until he is destroyed underfoot, and the meadow (land) will be set free from the curse.

Gilgal means a wheel rolling (like on chariots).  Joshua took 12 stones (divine government) out of the Jordan (anointing), and set them in a circle (wheel--eternal) in Gilgal where Joshua circumcised the sons of Israel who would go to war.  Circumcision is a sign of the removal of the flesh and covenant with God.  Covenant speaks of personal relationship and total dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The prophets of war now being raised up will be associated with a house (assembly) that God and not man has built.They will not  be lone rangers.  They will work with others that Jesus has set in His house to bring the victory forth.

Jericho is the third place that Elisha went to.  Jericho represents a place of victory over the walls that Satan has built in the land.  The walls of Jericho came down (angelic help) when Israel entered the Promised Land and began to dispossess the enemy.  The priests blew the trumpets, and the people shouted on the 7^th day, and the walls of Jericho came down.  Jericho means fragrant – sweet is the smell of victory.

Prophets of war in the type of Elisha are being raised up.  They will have a double portion (the anointing of the spirit and authority from God to utilize the chariots of fire).  King Joash understood Elisha’s power with God and His angels.  Listen to what he was concerned with when it was time for Elisha to go home to be with the Lord.

2 Ki 13:14  Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die. Then Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, "O my father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their horsemen!"

Joash was saying what will we do now when you are gone?  You are the only one who has power with God because His angels fight for you.

The Most High has commission a whole company of prophets for war.  Satan will fall, and the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord Jesus Christ and He shall reign forever and ever.  AMEN
